I once heard a quote, “You should be able to read a great house just like a biography” and it got me thinking about the stories we can tell through design. What does a home say to you when you walk through the door? Is it welcoming? Is it a safe space? And how can different design aesthetics be used to bring characteristics to a home? This was on my mind for majority of our model home project in Howell, NJ.
The opportunity to work on any kind of model home is an honor – and these houses were just gorgeous.
I wanted the space to tell a story – I wanted it to exude warmth and welcome its guests in as soon as you stepped in the door. To achieve that, we went with dark wooden accents and soft walls, accessorized with rustic and transitional elements throughout the home.
Now that these houses have been sold, I wanted to highlight this project – it was an absolute delight to design.
Everything that is pictured is for sale! All furniture and accessories in the entire home.
